Cleaning up your map? Totally fair.
Before we dive in, keep this in mind:
You can only remove a place from your own places list
The place can still exist for other people, unless it’s a private custom place you created
Public places remain visible to other users if they have added or visited them, even after you remove them from your list.
What happens when you remove a place
your “been there” history for that place resets
you no longer appear on that place’s leaderboard (if there is one)
if you go there again later, you may be prompted to add it back
if the place was part of a shared or tagged visit, your friend can still keep their own version if they annotate it
Remove a place
Open the place:
Tap the place on your map, or
Go to Profile > Places, then tap the place
Tap the three dots menu
Tap Remove from my places
