Public
Visible to everyone
Public places can be added and tagged by anyone
Custom places
When creating a custom place you choose whether it’s public or not.
Public custom places
User-created public places are a bit different from standard public places:
Visible to everyone on your Profile Map and Place List
Discoverable in tagging and search only to friends
Over time, public custom places may be promoted into fully public places (when they look real and legit)
Non-public custom places
Visible to you and your friends
