Location not updating

If your live location is not displaying correctly in the app, here are a few steps that usually solve the problem:

  1. Update the app
    Go to the App Store or Google Play and check for any available Bump updates. Running the latest version helps prevent location-related problems.

  2. Check your device's time settings
    If you’ve recently changed your phone’s time or date manually, it can interfere with location sharing. To fix this:

    • Set your device to automatic time and date

    • Reinstall Bump to refresh the settings

  3. Review location permissions
    Bump requires full access to share your location:

    • On iOS: Set location to Always Allow and enable Precise Location

    • On Android: Set location to Allow all the time

    To check this:

    • Open your device Settings

    • Tap Apps > Bump > Location

    • Adjust the permission level if needed
