Download the app
Find Bump on your device’s app store - iOS App Store or the Google Play Store.
Download or install the app to get started.
Create your profile
Use accurate and clear info
It helps your friends recognize you on the map and when sending or accepting invites.
Your profile is public
Friends of friends might find you through search, friend lists, or suggestions.

Here's what we need
Mobile number
To create your account, you'll need a valid phone number. We require phone verification to protect your account and prevent unauthorized use. Learn more here.
Age
The app collects your age to confirm you meet the age requirements, and to help keep our community safe.
Name
You'll be asked to enter your first and last name. This will be visible to other Bump users.
Profile photo
You’ll be able to add a profile pic, either a static photo or a fun animated video 💫
You can take a live one right in the app, or choose something from your camera roll. And don’t worry, you can always update it later from your profile!
Grant permissions
To make the most of Bump’s features, it's important to grant the following permissions:
Location
Your location helps show where you are in real time on the live map and keeps track of the places you’ve visited on your scratch map.
Contacts
Bump uses your contacts to find friends already using the app.
Notifications
Cause you need to stay in the know.
Add friends
We ask you to share your contacts to show you which of your friends are already on Bump so you can add them right away! Of course, you can also search for friends later using their name or number.
We know you know, but remember, your location is personal info, so make sure to only add people you know and trust in real life 💛
