How to join a school
There are two ways to join a school on Bump:
Be on campus
If you’ve physically visited the campus, Bump will detect that you’ve been there and let you join.
Use an invite link
If someone sends you an invite, you can join the school without having to visit first.
📝 You must have visited the school in person or have an invite link to be eligible. Searching for a school on the map won't work.
What happens when you join a school 🎓
Joining your school on Bump unlocks special features just for your campus. Once you’re in, you’ll automatically:
Get a school badge on your profile
See your school pinned on your map
Appear in the student directory on the school’s page
Discover classmates already using Bump on campus
Unlocking schools
Some schools stay locked until at least 50 students join. To help reach that number:
Share your school’s invite link with friends and classmates
Once enough people sign up, your school unlocks and becomes fully visible and searchable 🎉
How to leave a school on Bump 🎓
If you've joined the wrong school or just want to leave your current one, here's how you can do it in a few quick steps:
Open the Bump app and go to your Profile
Tap on your school name under your profile info
This will open the school page
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-left corner
Select "Leave school"
That’s it! You’ll be removed from the school, and your profile will no longer show up in the school directory 💛
