We want Bump to feel inviting, not overwhelming. This policy makes sure friend requests and invites stay positive for everyone.
What this covers
This applies across the entire app, everyone and everywhere. Some examples: friend requests, invitations, and related messages across the app.
What we remove
rapid or automated friend invites
repeated invitations to people
invites to people who blocked you
using invitations to direct people to off-platform scams
mass invitations to people you don't know
This list isn't exhaustive. If something could create a negative experience or break this policy, we'll take action.
How we take action
We may temporarily limit your ability to send invites
We may restrict features for repeated violations
We may temporarily or permanently suspend accounts for serious abuse
How to avoid violations
Add friends you know, gradually: Only send friend requests to people you actually know, and space these out over time rather than sending many at once.
Wait after a suspension ends: Wait at least 24 hours before sending new friend requests.
Monitor your activity: Avoid rapid or high-volume actions. After a suspension ends, your account and data remain safe, and full access is restored automatically. To avoid future suspensions, resume activity gradually and only add people you know, keeping the number of requests sent in a short period low. Suspensions typically last up to 30 days, depending on the severity of the flagged activity, and resolve on their own once the cooldown period has passed.
How to report
If you see content that violates this policy, you can report it directly in the app. We review all reports and take appropriate action to keep Bump safe for everyone.
