How we look after your safety

Updated over 3 months ago

We work hard to make Bump a safe and enjoyable space for everyone. To keep it that way, we’ve put together a few simple guidelines to follow.

This isn’t an exhaustive list - but here’s our golden rule:

If you wouldn’t want something done to you or someone you care about, then don’t do it to others.

Let’s keep Bump kind, respectful, and real 💛

Use Bump Safely & Responsibly

  • Follow the Law

Only use Bump for lawful purposes. Any illegal activity on the app is strictly prohibited and may result in account removal or legal action.

  • Be Yourself

Never impersonate someone else or create fake accounts. Your Bump profile should represent you - not a version of someone else.

  • Respect Account Boundaries

Only log in to your own account. Accessing someone else’s Bump without their clear permission is not allowed.

  • Keep It Safe for Everyone

Don’t post or share any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content. This includes:

    • Hate speech or discriminatory language

    • Threats, bullying, or harassment

    • Content that promotes violence, self-harm, or dangerous behavior

    • Any other form of inappropriate behavior

  • No Spam or Scams

Don’t send bulk messages, spam, promotional content, or misleading info. False reports or attempts to game the system will lead to bans.

  • Respect the Purpose of Bump

Bump is meant for connecting with real-life friends. Using it to monitor others, harass strangers, or push content unrelated to friendships is not allowed.

  • No Sharing Sensitive Info Without Consent

Never post or share private details (like someone’s location, phone number, or personal info) without their permission.

📢Your safety matters. Avoid using Bump in situations where it may distract you from your surroundings, or important safety laws.
