Night owl, early riser, shift worker, jet-lagged... let your friends know when you're getting some shut-eye.
When you see a moon 🌙 next to a friend's pin, it means they're asleep right now. You also can see how long they've been out for, too. So how does it work?
How we figure it out
We don't ask for sleep tracking, health data, or anything from your phone's clock or alarm. That data isn't ours to collect, and we'd rather not have it. Instead, we read your patterns on Bump (when you're active, when you're not) to work out when you'd normally be asleep.
Sleep runs on technology we built ourselves, without having to ask you for extra data, and that's how we want to keep it. If you ever see the moon on your pin when you were wide awake, let us know. The feature is new, and your feedback is what helps us tune it.
