Sometimes the map misses a moment. Here’s why.
What to check
you were only there briefly and didn’t really settle in. Places are for stops where you spent a little bit of time, not a run-in to grab a burger and dip
your GPS signal was weak or jumpy, so your phone’s location points couldn’t be grouped cleanly
you’ve skipped visits in that same area before. If you skip the same spot a couple times, we’ll stop prompting to ask if you’ve been there
the location is very large (parks, hotels, museums, campuses, festivals), and your visit may have landed outside the saved place radius
What you can do
If you don’t see a visit, unfortunately there is a no way currently to force it to appear retroactively. But stay tuned - we’re constantly working on new features and improvements to the experience!
If you’re tagging and the right place isn’t listed, you can add it yourself by scrolling to the bottom of the suggested list and choosing the option to add a custom place
